- Part of your assessment will involve a thorough assessment of your cardiac ailment(s), including a history of your past medical conditions, family history and lifestyle habits.
- A thorough clinical examination will also be carried out during face-to-face appointments.
- Arrangements would be made for specific blood tests that may be required to assess you cardiovascular risk.
Preparation
- Please bring with you a list of all the medications you take regularly including those taken as injections or on weekly/ monthly basis.
- A documentation of blood pressure and heart rate recordings is also useful to provide a baseline of your average readings if you record these at home.
- We are always happy to answer any additional questions that you may have regarding the health of your heart.

Cardiovascular risk assessment package
This involves a thorough assessment of the risk of you suffering from a cardiac event within a 10-year period. Following this,
a definitive plan for the management of your risk factors would be made including the need for statin therapy.
This includes:
- A thorough clinical history including a past medical history, family history and life-style habits.
- An echocardiogram: to assess the structure and function of your heart and its valves.
- Blood tests: full blood count, renal function tests, liver function tests, lipid (cholesterol) profile and thyroid function tests.
- Computed tomography coronary angiography: to assess for the presence of calcium and/or plaque (cholesterol) build-up within your coronary arteries.
COST: £980
Stable cardiovascular disease package (low to intermediate risk)
This involves an assessment of the severity of your cardiac condition along with the implementation of appropriate treatment.
This includes:
- A thorough clinical history including a past medical history, family history and life-style habits.
- An echocardiogram: to assess the structure and function of your heart and its valves.
- Blood tests: full blood count, renal function tests, liver function tests, lipid (cholesterol) profile and thyroid function tests.
- An assessment of your coronary arteries would be performed either by computed tomography coronary angiography (CT/CA) or by invasive coronary angiography.
COST: £980-£1180
Stable cardiovascular disease package (high risk)
This involves an assessment of the severity of your cardiac condition along with the implementation of appropriate treatment.
This includes:
- A thorough clinical history including a past medical history, family history and life-style habits.
- An echocardiogram: to assess the structure and function of your heart and its valves.
- Blood tests: full blood count, renal function tests, liver function tests, lipid (cholesterol) profile and thyroid function tests.
- An assessment of your coronary arteries would be performed using invasive coronary angiography.
- An assessment of coronary blood flow would be performed. The test will determine the severity of stenosis (narrowing) within the coronary arteries and the need for coronary stenting.
COST: £1480
Cardiovascular disease treatment package
Following the assessment and diagnosis of severe coronary disease, it may be necessary to treat the condition with coronary stenting in order to alleviate symptoms and in some cases reduce the potential for future cardiac events.
